I had a rather disappointing experience with Direct Order Blinds. While the blinds themselves fit well and provided some degree of blackout, there were certain issues that led me to give a rating of 1 star.
The main concern I encountered was their customer service. Two of the clear plastic clips used to operate the blinds arrived broken. When I reached out to their customer service department for replacements, I was directed to a link where I could purchase the clips myself. I found it disheartening that after spending over £500 on blinds for just three small windows, I was not offered a simple solution or provided with replacement clips free of charge. Instead, I was asked to make an additional purchase, totaling £7.90, including shipping costs.
Furthermore, their response indicated that because I hadn’t immediately requested the replacement clips upon receipt of the blinds, they were unsure if the breakage occurred due to « user error. » This statement raised concerns regarding the quality and durability of the components. It’s worth noting that I had not even installed the blinds at the time when the broken clips were discovered.
Considering the wide selection of perfect fit blinds available online and varying pricing options, I would advise potential customers to explore alternative providers. My experience with Direct Order Blinds’ customer service left much to be desired.
